Best Weapons In Fortnite For The Upcoming Season
The new season is just around the corner and everyone is reshuffling their decks to find the perfect loadout for this season. There are so many balance changes and fundamental aspects being altered that the average player will find it quite difficult to traverse it through this season. Therefore, we built the perfect list of the best weapons out there for the new season. Let us check out the best weapons without any further delays and start dominating the opposition to grab those juicy Victory Royales.
Our Weapon Ranking System
S Tier- Overpowered and should definitely be abused
A Tier- Strong and works well in the right hands
B Tier- Needs skill to be used effectively
C Tier- Trash and should be avoided
We will only be elaborating on the S and A tier weapons in this article as the rest are shadowed by its peers.
S Tier Weapon List
Holo Twister Assault Rifle
Hitscan is a game changer and it’s obviously better than projectile weaponry! The Holo Twister Assault Rifle is the best out of the lot. It’s hitscan, which means there is no delay on when the bullet will impact the enemy from when it’s fired. The rifle is without a doubt the most versatile and powerful weapon from the lot and a must-have within load-outs if you wish to dominate the lobby.
The gun provides a balanced fire rate with good damage dropoffs, making the weapon usable at all ranges. Beaming enemies far away and challenging close combat encounters are both doable with the Holo Twister Assault Rifle. It’s easy, consistent, and a game-changer.
Typhoon Blade
It’s funny seeing a melee weapon ranked S-tier, but it’s ranked this high for a reason! It’s fast, flashy, and has loads of mobility packed into one single package. It’s the perfect weapon to slice and dice through your enemies. Locate your enemies and quickly close the distance to unleash some ninja justice!
To make things even better, the Typhoon Blade is not a one-trick pony. Unlike most melee weapons the Typhoon Blade has three attacking strikes: The default slash, cyclone slash, and falling strike. This allows the Typhoon Blade to be an integral part of any close combat loadout.
The speed of the blade’s strikes makes dodging a thing of the past. Even though the blade is found in Mythic and Epic rarities, you are sure to obtain one as every player has made it their goal to add it on to their inventory. Yank it off them!
Sentinel Pump Shotty
Are you a close combat freak looking to get up close and personal? The Sentinel is the perfect choice for your preferences! Even though the shotgun isn’t as popular as the Typhoon Blade or the Holo Twister Assault rifle it’s still at the top, and slowly climbing the ranks.
The high-damage shotgun works well on both the main battle royale map and in the Zero Build mode. To be honest, the Sentinel is the only shotgun worth using at the moment. Even though the gun has a natively low fire rate, the shotgun mechanisms really help to alleviate that drawback to increase the fire rate.
A Tier
The Rail Gun
Finding the Rail Gun can be challenging at times, but the search is worth it! Pro tip: Always hit the popular spots first, as the high-traffic areas often spawn this elusive gun more than others. The Rail Gun is not the easiest gun to use and that’s the only reason why it’s not in the S-tier
The Rail Gun requires you to charge up the weapon before firing. The longer you charge the gun, the more damage you will do. However, this does require you to predict the movement of your enemies, which is a nightmare in close combat.
But, guess where the Rail Gun excels? Boss fights! And with the Godzilla event going through in full steam, the Rail Gun is an obvious choice to include in one’s inventory if they are going monster hunting.
Night Rose Veild Precision SMG
The Night Rose Veiled Precision SMG is without a doubt the most overkill Submachine gun in the game. It’s fast, accurate, and beams like an AR. It’s the best gun in the entire game, if you can obtain in. But what’s the catch? Why is it in A-Tier?
The gun is only obtainable by killing the Night Rose boss found at Demon’s Dojo. To make things even worse, there can only be one gun per game! That makes the Night Rose the most contented gun in the entire game. Oftentimes, you’d see two, three, or even four teams absolutely laying waste on each other just to get a chance at obtaining the weapon.
The high competition and risk of elimination make the Night Rose a high-risk high-reward weapon, which in turn pulls it down to A-tier.
The Fury
The Fury is the final weapon on our list, and it just made the cut with the recent buff to its reload time amping up its viability a tad bit more. Let’s just say that the Fury should only be considered over the Holo Twister on the condition that you just couldn’t get your hands on the latter.
There’s nothing special about the Fury other than being a reliable mid-short-range AR with a decent clip size. The gun lacks power in the later rangers and gets outgun close up if the enemy has a Sentinel. But, you can always find a sweet spot in its mid-range.
